The following are just a few unique (or otherwise often missed) types of business lead generation strategies. As a business owner, you can incorporate any number of these or similar methods of lead generation into your business. Chances are good you will see marked improvement in your bottom line when you do put some focus on these methods.
A few lead generation strategies to consider:
- Turn to your church. People who use their church to generate leads often get good response. The reason is simple. In church, people trust one another. They do not see your marketing message as trying to sell something, but rather as an opportunity for themselves. Churches are a great place to gather leads.
- Offer a mini course. If you or your business has knowledge to share, why not provide that knowledge to the group. You can offer a free, interesting, informative and unique mini course either locally or online. This course may provide information and your business may provide the solution that the attendees are interested in. While an in person mini course can be expensive, selecting an online mini course is inexpensive, easy to put together and can be an ongoing marketing method.
- Golf clubs are another great place for lead generation. Many deals have happened over the greens, with nothing more than a handshake. As a business owner, by networking with others you think can offer something good to your business is important. The golf club local to you may be a great place to find others to work with.
- Podcasting is a great method of business lead generation and it works for those who have something important to offer. If you are a good speaker and have a clear message, this method of communication may be an outstanding lead generation tool.
- Local radio interviews are another option. Some of the latest interviews make it sound like you are interviewed at that time, though it is a commercial that replays. In either case, the goal is to communicate with the mass media. Radio is less expensive than television, but most people do turn in to it on a daily basis.
Business sales lead generation should come from several sources. Try on any of these methods to see how well they work for your business. You may find that having a unique business lead method is what sets you apart from the others who you are competing with. Even more so, being unique and getting out there into the networks will bring in more leads that are targeted and that produce results. Unless you plan to get the same results every time, you need to find new ways to promote your business.
